At the last council meeting the Mayor found it funny and joked that the council was convening the Redevelopment agency meeting to approve the minutes and then adjourn so that the council could receive their pay under state law for holding an Agency meeting, after being asked to re-think the wage freeze for the General employees.

That is ONE SICK COUNCIL to make jokes about the plight of people who are not getting a raise while the council who is supposed to be a group of part time community volunteers, who are earning with benefits more then some of the General employees.  The single moms raising children and heads of families all struggling to make ends meet with the rising cost of gas and all of the price increases that come with the rise in gas prices.

Mayor Hammond and the rest of the City Council find that amusing.
